The idea for this article emerged after a colleague mentioned the growing shortage of nursing deans nationwide. Curious about the factors contributing to this challenge, I saw an opportunity to explore the issue more deeply by interviewing a highly experienced nursing dean and examining the shortage through her firsthand perspective.
